FCPT-02H COF & Peel Tester

This integrated tester combines coefficient of friction (COF) test and peel strength measurement. It is designed to determine static & dynamic friction coefficient of plastic films/sheets, paper, rubber, woven sacks, cardboard, textiles, conveyor belts, metal composite strips for optical cables, coated materials, timber, brake pads, shoe materials, windshield wipers and tires; meanwhile it tests peel resistance of adhesive composite products, medical patches, release liners and protective films.

2. Application Range

Standard Test Items

1. Static and dynamic friction coefficient: plastic films & sheets, rubber, aluminum foil, paper, paper-plastic composite film, textile, woven bag, metal composite strip and similar flexible materials.
2. Peel strength test: adhesive composite materials, medical adhesive plasters, release paper, protective films.

Optional Customized Extended Test Item

Smoothness test for cosmetics and eye drops; friction test for conveyor belts, timber, catheters, carbon rods, coated workpieces, shoe soles, wiper blades, artificial skin, metallic parts and agricultural raw materials.

3. Working Principle

Fix test specimen flat on the instrument test bench with special fixtures; place standard sliding block onto specimen surface, and connect sliding block to driving assembly. High-precision load cell and displacement sensor fitted on driving unit collect real-time force and displacement data during test to calculate friction coefficient or peel strength automatically.
