Product Description
Working Principle
The contact angle (denoted as θ) refers to the angle formed between the tangent of the gas-liquid interface drawn at the three-phase intersection of gas, liquid and solid (on the liquid side) and the solid-liquid boundary line. It serves as a quantitative measure of wettability and is a primary method for current surface property testing.
This instrument measures the contact angle, surface energy and other parameters on sample surfaces via optical imaging and image contour analysis. It mainly consists of a light source, liquid injection unit, sample stage, image acquisition system and analysis software. Equipped with a differential precision liquid feeding device, the equipment features high-cost performance, strong expandability and comprehensive functions, capable of meeting various routine measurement requirements. It has been widely adopted by numerous universities, research institutes and enterprises.
Application
Applications include solid surface treatment evaluation, plasma cleaning effect analysis, surface cleanliness analysis, solid-liquid interaction or solid-liquid adhesion characteristics research, liquid formulation design, surface printing performance characterization, analytical surface modification, and glass (including plastics or metals) surface wettability research. In fields such as mobile phone manufacturing, glass manufacturing, surface treatment, materials research, chemical engineering, semiconductor manufacturing, coatings and inks, electronic circuits, textile fibers, and medical biology, contact angle measurement has become an important instrument for evaluating surface properties.
