They can be used in the field or when it is not possible to prepare samples to identify the microstructure of various metals and alloys. They can be widely used in factories and laboratories for the quality assessment of castings, raw material inspection, or research and analysis of the metallographic structure of materials after processing. They can also be used for the observation of the fine details of antiques and gemstones.
